Over the past few years, various disasters have occurred in various parts of Japan. The Japanese Government has made it a basic rule to evacuate with pets, but every time a disaster occurs, there are reports of problems regarding the acceptance of animals in evacuation centres. This presentation will discuss disaster preparedness for pets, for which “self-help” is the basic principle.
