Over 600 exhibitors ready for Interpets Asia Pacific later this month – a new high
The leading international fair for a better life with pets will continue its successful development in 2023: 633 exhibitors, up 36% from 2022, with a booked exhibition space of over 40,000 sqm have already registered to exhibit at what is one of the largest pet industry trade fairs in Japan. The fair opens its doors on March 30 and runs until 2 April at Tokyo Big Sight. A diverse event programme will demonstrate the many business facets that are relevant to the pet industry and offer visitors an exclusive look at pet trends and the latest goods. Numerous new products, trends and special presentations promise a unique trade fair experience.
Participation returns to pre-pandemic levels at Interpets Asia Pacific 2022
Four days of networking, order placing and fun with pets wrapped up on 3 April, as the 2022 edition of Interpets Asia Pacific concluded on a high note. For many participants, the 11th edition marked a return to business as usual. Even amidst the pandemic, the fair managed to attract 465 exhibitors from eight countries and regions, a double-digit increase from the previous year. Most impressively, the fair saw visitor numbers return to pre-pandemic levels, with a turnout of 43,755 (trade: 14,011, public: 29,744) nearly matching the record high set in 2019. Together with their owners, 18,513 pets made their way to the fairground, where all manner of animal related products, services and information could be found, including automobiles, housing, interior design, accessories, IT, electronics, leisure and hospitality.

Excitement is gradually building as around 470 exhibitors gear up to showcase their new products and services to an expected 36,000 visitors. The show will again blend business with education, showcasing the latest pet-related products and services alongside forums where new concepts and business ideas can be explored. This year’s event brings together the pet industry with the fields of housing, interior design, fashion, IT, automobiles, tourism, and leisure.
Interpets Asia Pacific 2021 successfully returned to Tokyo Big Sight
Interpets Asia Pacific – the international fair for a better life with pets – has wrapped up four successful days at Tokyo Big Sight. Returning for its 10th edition after a hiatus in 2020 due to COVID-19, from 1 – 4 April 2021, a total of 28,387 visitors (trade: 7,880, public: 20,507) and 13,736 pets found their way to the fairground. Eager to re-establish business connections, 327 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions (domestic: 312, overseas: 15) welcomed a wide variety of visitors with an extensive and diverse product range.
Interpets 2020 cancelled amid Coronavirus concerns
Owing to concerns over the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd, the Japan Pet Food Association and the Japan Pet Products Manufacturers Association have announced the cancellation of the tenth anniversary edition of Interpets. The four-day international fair for a better life with pets was scheduled to be held from 26 – 29 March 2020 in the Aomi Exhibition Halls of Tokyo Big Sight.
Interpets 2020 moves to new halls at Tokyo Big Sight
Interpets 2020 – the four-day international fair for a better life with pets – is preparing its tenth anniversary edition. The 2020 show will take place from 26 – 29 March (Thursday – Sunday), welcoming trade visitors as well as existing and potential pet owners and offering a wide range of pet-related products and services. Because of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, this years’ edition will move to Aomi Exhibition Halls, the newly constructed halls of Tokyo Big Sight. With 95% of the exhibition space already booked, the organiser looks forward to a celebratory tenth edition.
A record-breaking 44,114 visitors enjoyed the 9th edition of Interpets Asia Pacific with its wider product range
Interpets Asia Pacific 2019 – the four-day international fair for a better life with pets – closed its doors with tremendous success on 31 March at Tokyo Big Sight. With 481 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions (domestic: 382, overseas: 99) including Japan, China, Korea, Germany and the United States, occupying East halls 2, 3, 7, 8, the ninth edition of the show welcomed 44,114 visitors (trade: 12,449, public: 31,665) and 17,986 pets.

Interpets 2019 – the four-day international fair for a better life with pets – is preparing for its ninth edition, taking place from 28 – 31 March (Thu – Sun) 2019 at Tokyo Big Sight. The show will again feature a unique concept by showcasing pet-related products and services, and providing a platform where new ideas and business can be developed. It will bring together the pet industry with the fields of housing, interior design, fashion, IT, automobiles, tourism and leisure.
Interpets gathered 25% more exhibitors and 10% more visitors than the previous edition
Interpets – the four-day international fair for a better life with pets – closed its doors with tremendous success on 1 April at Tokyo Big Sight. A record-breaking 502 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions  (domestic: 420, overseas: 82) including Japan, China, Korea and Germany, occupied four halls this year – one more hall than last year. The eight edition of the show welcomed 42,066 visitors  (trade: 15,794, public: 26,272) and 16,455 pets, which is around 4,000 more than at the previous edition.
